For one show only, The Girls From Oz, their honorary “Ozzie” pianist, will perform their new show at London’s prestigious Crazy Coqs (Live at Zédel - next to Piccadilly Circus tube station) before heading up to this years Edinburgh Festival Fringe. They have created a winning, one-of-a-kind cabaret act featuring songs by Australian artists such as Kylie, Men At Work, John Farnham, AC/DC and Peter Allen, but sung as you’ve never heard them before! The Girls From Oz have given these tunes their own twist with arrangements inspired by the likes of the Andrew Sisters who were popular in the swing era of the 1930s and 1940s. There is certainly a vintage vibe about this show, but they don't limit themselves to this in any way as the show also includes more modern sounding arrangements, dancing, some instrumental multitasking and plenty of laughs.
"While they are a relatively new group, there isn’t anything lacking between the girls on stage or their connection with the audience. A great performance all around, the night is filled with gorgeous tunes and a lot of laughs. Add in a good glass of wine and some delicious food from Pizza Express, and you’re sure to leave with a smile."
The Girls From Oz received a lovely review from West End Wilma for their Australia Day show at the Phesantry.

Kara Lane was recently interviewed about the Girls From Oz in 'The Star'.
"West End performer Kara Lane is celebrating Australia Day later this month in style – in Sheffield.
Kara has put together a show, called The Girls from Oz, which will be performed at the Lantern Theatre in Nether Edge, Sheffield.
She said: “I was asked to do a solo concert at the theatre by my friend Andrew Griffiths, who works at the Lantern.
“I’ve wanted to get a girls’ group together for such a long time in the style of the Andrews Sisters, with three-part harmonies and a lot of old musical songs.
“I’m using this as a way to get things together.”
Kara said: “The original idea of the series that Andrew Griffiths came up with was to introduce the Lantern Theatre to a more commercial musical theatre audience."
More appearances to be announced soon.
